Seller note:

In a world where boats that have worked just fine for years are cast aside to satisfy market demand for more modern styling, the Grand Banks 42 has changed little in her four decades of production. Trawler Yachts are known for their timelessly handsome style and solid construction, and few, if any, are in greater demand than the Grand Banks 42 Classic.
Introduced In 1965, a total of 1,203 Grand Banks 42s were built. It was slightly revised in 1991. This Classic is the standard by which other trawlers her size are generally measured.
Her enduring popularity and strong resale value can be attributed to superb engineering. Built from Mahogany for durability using traditional carvel planking construction. She features elegant styling, and a proven semi-displacement hull design.
A genuine bluewater cruiser with a moderate beam and full-length skeg keel to give the 42 excellent sea keeping characteristics in a wide range of conditions. There were very few production changes from her original layout. It just seems to fit everyone's needs in so many ways.
This great classic Grand Banks sleeps six. The master has twin beds in the aft stateroom, including closet. It has access to the aft deck from the master stateroom. Mid Cabin and V-berth forward also with a closet. Galley to port. Two manual marine heads w/showers. Large roomy salon. A beautiful freshwater boat always boathouse kept.
