This Challenger 40 sloop has all the basics to make a great liveaboard and sturdy blue water cruiser. The boat was recently hauled and the hull and bottom were painted.
You could use it as a "floating condo" here in Portland, while you get the boat ready for cruising. With a spacious interior including an aft cabin, v-berth, and a large salon. It would make a very comfortable liveaboard. She features a Perkins 4-108 diesel engine foe economical - efficient cruising.
For serious voyaging, you would want to replace running rigging and replace the fuel tanks, and wire-in the electronics of your choice. If you're concerned about cosmetics, you would also want to repaint the topsides and deck and put some elbow grease into the woodwork.
